This recipe for Caramel Chocolate Delights is the perfect solution for these hot summer days! It does include a little baking, but do that in the morning to keep the kitchen cool. Otherwise, it’s just assembly and freezing making this recipe just about as easy as you can get. All the techniques involved are pretty easy and fun so it’s a great cool treat to make with little chefs. Plus, it’s a big hit with everyone and makes enough to feed a crowd.
You start by combining dry ingredients with melted butter and creating a cookie type crumble. Grandma’s recipe calls for chopped nuts and I chose pecans as I think that’s what Grandma almost always used. If you’re not a fan of pecans, I think peanuts could actually be pretty good, too. After you bake the crumble, you then… well… crumble it. All that’s left to do is layer it all together and voilá, you’re done! Get it in the freezer and then the hardest part: waiting until it’s ready!
These Caramel Chocolate Delights are super easy to make and so delicious. It’s a great choice if you need a cool dessert for a big gathering or pool party. Or, since it’s frozen, just make the whole thing and keep it in the freezer for as long as it lasts – which will probably be way less time than you think. It really is that good!
