This Pineapple Slush recipe is probably the most simple recipe I’ll ever post. Get all the ingredients, mix ’em up in a bowl and then freeze it. It’s a great side dish for breakfast or brunch and since it’s 100% make-ahead, it’s very easy to include on any menu. I recently served it the morning of Thanksgiving to ,y family and it was a big hit. All the fruit flavors are of course perfect in the morning, but the addition of lemon lime soda gives it a bit of an unexpected tingle as you eat it. Nothing but empty bowls and smiles after breakfast with this fruity treat.
To serve, I kept it all in one big bowl and but that in the freezer the day before we ate it. Then, about an hour before we ate, I set it out on the counter to start to thaw a bit. After about an hour, it was still almost like ice cream to scoop. Alternatively, you can also divide the mixture into individual servings before you freeze it and then just pull out the number of servings you need to thaw when you’re ready to eat.
I think this recipe would be a good one to play around with once you’ve tried it once. I think there are other fruit you could add or maybe even a different flavor of a fruity soda. The classic is a no miss, though.
Pineapple Slush is a sweet treat to make any morning special! I hope you give it a try and if you do, let me know what you think in the comments. And don’t forget to share a picture of your end result with me on Instagram (@bdhbakes).
